Ground Beef Gnocchi Recipe


Ingredients

  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Italian seasoning dash
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with juices
  • 1/3 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy / whipping cream
  • 1 pound uncooked potato gnocchi
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. The first step, cook beef and onions in a skillet using medium-high heat for 7-10 minutes. If there is a lot of fat, spoon most of it.
  2. Next, stir the garlic and italian herbs.
  3. Add tomatoes, diced, cream, gnocchi, and chicken stock to the pan, then stir well.
  4. After the sauce begins to thicken, cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Open the pan, and stir for a few more minutes, or until the Gnocchi is cooked and delicious.
  7. Stir in parmesan cheese, salt and pepper as needed, then serve immediately.
  8. Serve with fresh basil at the end.
