Easy Delicious Orange Chicken Recipe

Orange Chicken is an oriental dish from China that is very tasty and refreshing, this is the most simple and fun dish you should try.

Several times I have made this dish, this is a typical Chinese dish that uses orange seasoning, using soft chicken thighs, fried meat, then put in a delicious and refreshing orange sauce. I serve this dish for a romantic dinner.

One of the keys to this dish is sauce, this dish uses an orange sauce consisting of a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, orange peel and red peppers smoothed in a pan with fried chicken that is super easy to make.

Ingredients


  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil divided, plus more for frying
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup flour
FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 2 tablespoons of rice wine
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 10 tablespoons sugar
  • 10 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • zest of 1 orange
TO FINISH:
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger root minced
  • 2 minced garlic teaspoons
  • 1/2 tsp hot red chili pepper crushed

Instructions

  1. Start by combining 1 tbsp of corn flour, rice wine, sesame oil, water, soy sauce, sugar, white vinegar and orange peel.
  2. To coat the chicken, put the eggs, salt, pepper and 1 tbsp of oil in a bowl, then shake together in a large bowl.
  3. Use a separate bowl, add 1/2 cup flour and corn flour, then stir well.
  4. Use a large skillet, heat the oil in a pan with a temperature of 375 degrees.
  5. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture and flour mixture.
  6. Fried chicken for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  7. Transfer to a cooling rack, repeat with the remaining chicken, after finishing with chicken, drain most of the oil from the pan.
  8. Add the ginger, garlic and red peppers, cook for 10 seconds.
  9. Enter the orange sauce and bring to a boil, turn off the heat and add the cooked chicken until well blended.
